Paul Saunderson is a British composer producer whose scores combine large-scale orchestral writing with electronics, organic sound design and contemporary production. He most recently scored BBC Studios landmark documentary series EVOLUTION, following up his work on the series' acclaimed predecessors EARTH and HUMAN. His other credits include Apple TV's comedy-drama TRYING as well as the new high-octane action-drama FIGHTLAND for 50 Cent's G-UNIT and STARZ, created by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith. Paul is no stranger to energetic action, having also scored the long-running series STRIKE BACK for Sky One, as well as the action-comedy FIGHT OR FLIGHT, starring Josh Hartnett, for Thunder Road Pictures. Paul also received immense acclaim for his score on the award-winning documentary THREE IDENTICAL STRANGERS.

Other works include the recent thought provoking Netflix documentary THE INVESTIGATION OF LUCY LETBY, Netflix Original film LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT starring Ben Hardy and Haley Lu Richardson, Camelot Films' PRIZEFIGHTER starring Russell Crowe and Ray Winstone, and Mike Bartlett's LIFE for Drama Republic and BBC One.

Coming from both a classical and band background, Paul has demonstrated the ability to score films and TV shows covering a diverse range of genres. The unique tone to Paul's scores is underpinned by his innovative approach to musical sound design, complementing his skills as a multi-instrumentalist, performing and recording on the majority of his scores from his South London studio.

Paul learnt his craft working as arranger/programmer and additional composer on over 35 feature films including KICK-ASS (Matthew Vaughn), CORIOLANUS (Ralph Fiennes), BLACK SEA (Kevin Mcdonald), JOHNNY ENGLISH: REBORN (Rowan Atkinson), 47 RONIN (Keanu Reeves), and Aardman Animation's SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE MOVIE.

After receiving his Music degree from The University of Leeds in composition and electro-acoustic music, Paul immersed himself into the world of film music, working as an assistant to the award-winning composer Ilan Eshkeri (STILL ALICE, STARDUST, LAYER CAKE) and as a production assistant to Grammy award-winning film music producer Steve McLaughlin (ABOUT A BOY, HEAT, BATMAN, DIE HARD, LETHAL WEAPON).

He has additionally written arrangements or collaborated with such artists as with Elbow, Coldplay, Kasabian, KT Tunstall, Tom Odell, The Cinematic Orchestra, Ash, Andy Burrows, Swindle, and most recently SIPHO.
